I’m a big fan of toolboxes, kits, and what not. For years I kept an “Emergency Beach Kit” in the car.  Now that may seem silly but we live on the coast and with little kids it’s always good to have a change of clothes and other things the kids might need if we have a free afternoon and pass too close to a beach.

I follow a similar practice with my work, keeping lists of tools and resources handy for common tasks and areas of my work.

I have included a number of links to various tools that I use in the different capacities of my work.

They are broken down into the following categories:

Instructional Design Toolkit:  This is a collection of the tools that I personally use and recommend for instructional design work and information on when I use them.

Online Course Evaluation Toolkit: These are the resources that I personally use when evaluating online courses for clients and friends as well as some information on the process.

Technology Planning Toolkit:  I get called into K12 school districts from time to time to help them develop an instructional technology plan.  Here are the exact resources I use and an overview of my process.  It’s a common one so feel free to steal away.
